Susan Yussman, MD, MPH cares for 12-25 year olds with a range of adolescent issues including eating disorders, weight management, contraception, STD screening/prevention, anxiety, and depression. She is the Director of the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program and Chief of Outpatient Clinical Adolescent Services. She also serves as the Senior Pediatrician for the Hillside Family of Agencies and is the collaborating physician for two school-based health centers in high schools within the Rochester City School District. Dr. Yussman is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

I chose the field of pediatric hematology/oncology because I want to help ill children, as well as their families, through the difficult process of cancer and blood disorder diagnosis and treatment. I am fascinated by blood cells and how subcellular and vascular alterations can affect the entire body. It was natural for me to combine these interests to treat hematologic pediatric cancers and sickle cell disease. I am also proud to be a wife and mother of two busy and bright children.

Dr. Olivares is an internist–psychiatrist at the University of Rochester who serves as the Assistant Chair of Diversity, Inclusion, Culture and Equity, the Director of the Medicine in Psychiatry Services and Director of Lazos Fuertes; mental health program for Latinos all within the Department of Psychiatry.

Tiffany Pulcino, MD, MPH, is board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. She has a special interest in transitional care–the process of young adults moving into the adult health care system–especially those with medical problems diagnosed in childhood, like cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, inflammatory bowel disease, and congenital heart disease.

Timothy Stevens, MD is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and an attending neonatologist at UR Medicine – Golisano Children's Hospital. Dr. Stevens serves as the Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Children's Hospital where he oversees quality assurance and quality improvement activities.

Dr. Bingemann grew up in New Jersey. He graduated with honors from Rutgers University in 1995 and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in 1999. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 2003.He has worked in Rockland County, NY and at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a Senior Instructor in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is especially interested in musculoskeletal conditions.

Injection drug users (IDUs) can become infected with HIV and Hepatitis C through sharing contaminated syringes and other injection equipment; they can then transmit the viruses to others through high-risk sexual behavior. Public Health Law allows individuals to legally obtain and transport syringes provided they enroll in a Syringe Exchange Program (SEP) and carry an identification card with a unique number. Trillium Health SEP staff educate about the dangers of sharing needles and injection equipment, provide sterile syringes and safe disposal methods of used syringes. Staff also provide linkage and navigation services to medical care, rehabilitation services, and other supportive services.
