Dr. David Cheeran is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute at Rochester Regional Health. A graduate of Jarwaharla Institute of Medicine, Dr. Cheeran completed medical school at the Jarwaharla Institute of Medicine and then his internship and residency at the Postgraduate Medical Institute of Medical Sciences in Pondicherry, India. He also completed residencies in General Surgery, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery at the Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Cheeran is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He has been practicing as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Rochester General Hospital since 1987.

Dr. Stephen Ettinghausen is the Director of Surgical Oncology at Rochester General Hospital and a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. He received a BA from Amherst College and an MD from Weill Cornell Medical College. After two years of residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and one year of residency in anatomic pathology at New York Hospital‑Cornell, he completed residency in General Surgery at New York Hospital‑Cornell. His surgical oncology training included fellowships in the Surgery Branch at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

David Burns, MD is certified by the American Board of Surgery and has a special interest in Gastrointestinal surgery with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester, an Associate Member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and a member of the Society of Advanced Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgery (SAGES). Dr. Burns sees patients at UR Medicine – Highland Hospital.

Ayodele Sangosanya, MD is licensed in the states of New York and Connecticut and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, National Medical Association, American Medical Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine and American Association for the Surgery of Trauma. Dr. Sangosanya's interests include trauma and burn treatment, surgical critical care and surgical emergencies.

Dr. Michal J. Lada joined the Division of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. He is a graduate of Boston College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Lada was awarded his medical degree from Jagiellonian University Medical College.
